IS IT REALLY OUT OF
THE BLUE?

Cupid has finally shot his arrow… but do you really know the whole story?

The story of Cupid and Psyche is not just about an arrow suddenly being shot or about love at first sight. It is about a love born in mystery, but made real through challenges.

Their story began in a mysterious way:

Cupid, son of the goddess Venus and god of love, was supposed to strike Psyche with one of his arrows. But when he saw her, he became a prisoner of her beauty himself.
For the first time, he was not the one creating love in others — love was the one that struck him.
So he decided to bring her into his world, into a magnificent palace where they could love each other away from everyone’s eyes.
But there was only one rule:
Psyche could never see his face.
It was not simply a whim. Cupid was afraid.
He was afraid that if she discovered who he truly was, Psyche might stop loving him. He was afraid that their love could be influenced by his divine nature, his wings, and the fact that he was different from her.
He wanted to be loved not for what he represented, but for who he truly was.
And so their love existed in the darkness, built only on trust.
But doubt began to grow in Psyche’s heart.
Driven by curiosity and by the fears planted by her sisters, one night she lit a lamp to finally discover the face of the man she loved.
And when she saw Cupid, she realized that standing before her was a magnificent being, with wings and the beauty of a god.
But a drop of hot oil fell from the lamp and woke him.
Cupid felt hurt — not because she had seen him, but because the promise and trust between them had been broken.
So he flew away, leaving Psyche alone.
What seemed like the end of their love became instead the beginning of the greatest test.
Psyche faced impossible challenges, endured pain and hardship, and proved that her love was not born only from the magic of their first encounter, but from the willingness to fight, grow, and choose that person again.

AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT TODAY.

Because three months ago, my person arrived all of a sudden.

I knew that one day someone would come into my life, but I was so uninterested, tired, and exhausted that I couldn’t truly see anyone who entered it.
And if I had noticed someone out of the corner of my eye, I probably would have pushed them away.
And that is exactly what I tried to do.
I had scheduled a ten-minute video call just to get it over with.
I was convinced it would be just another conversation, something destined to end there.
Deep down, I had already decided that this person would not change anything in my life…

But then I saw his face appear on the screen. I heard his voice and the way he expressed himself, and in that exact moment, all my beliefs started to fall apart.

It is incredible, do you know why?

Because I already knew what I was looking for.
I had never imagined a specific face or a perfect story, but I had learned to recognize the values I wanted, the way I wanted to feel beside someone, and the kind of love I wanted to build.
And I never expected that all of this could actually take shape right in front of my eyes.
Whether you want to call it manifestation, coincidence, chance, or destiny, today I choose to call it magic.

But not the magic of:

“It happens when you least expect it.”

I don’t completely believe in that phrase.

I believe that some things arrive when we are ready to welcome them.
When we have worked on ourselves, when we have learned to truly listen to ourselves.
Because destiny may knock on the door, but we have to be brave enough to open it.

Just like I did.

This blog was born for that reason too: to learn how to listen to my feelings, to look within myself, and to understand what I truly wanted.
And the therapy I started in January was also part of this journey.
I still remember when my therapist asked me:

“Why did you decide to start?”

My answer was simple:

“Because I want to be ready when my person arrives.”

And today, I think that answer said everything.
The beautiful things in life do not simply fall from the sky.
Sometimes they arrive when we have planted enough within ourselves to be able to recognize them.
Once I read a phrase that stayed with me:

“Even an oak tree was once a seed.”

And I was speechless.
Because it is true.
Before becoming strong, an oak tree was fragile.
Before becoming a giant tree, it was only a tiny seed hidden beneath the earth.

We are the same.

Before meeting someone who truly sees us, we have to learn how to see ourselves.
Before building something great with another person, we have to take care of our own roots and maybe the most beautiful love is not the one that arrives when you are doing nothing.
It is the one that arrives when, without even realizing it, you have finally become the right place to welcome it.

I like to think that love is a dance in the rain.

Not because everything will always be easy or without difficulties, but because the right person is not the one who makes every storm disappear.
It is the person who takes your hand and chooses to dance with you even when the rain comes.
Because love is trust when you don’t have all the answers.
It is choosing someone when you could walk away, but decide to stay, it is sacrifice when you meet the other person halfway without losing yourself and it is growth when two people learn to truly know each other.

And going back to Cupid and Psyche:

Their love did not become strong because they never had problems, but because they walked through the “rain” and chose to find each other again.
It is the challenges faced together that transform a simple spark into something eternal.

So I leave you with a question:

Do things really happen all of a sudden… or do they arrive when, day after day, we have built the ability to truly live them?

Because maybe they are not simply a gift that falls from the sky.

Maybe they are the result of all those moments when we chose to work on ourselves, to grow, to heal, to question ourselves, and to prepare when no one was watching.
